Can marijuana use in the evening cause a person to vomit in the morning when they wake up?

Also, what can a family member do to help an addict decide to get treatment?

In my experience, the use of marijuana daily does not cause nausea or vomitting. Nausea and vomiting are common. Usually, they are not serious. If someone vomits upon waking (before a meal), a number of conditions are possible, including:

* pregnancy
* cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS)
* food poisoning
* gastroenteritis
* ulcer ... etc.

I'd suggest that you help your loved one try to diagnose the vomitting first, and then you can open the discussion about addiction. THe best way to talk to an addict is openly and frankly. If an addict does not want to seek treatment or rehabilitation, then you might want to consult a family counselor and organize an intervention.
