Can you have a mammogram if breast are swollen due to your period?

Mammograms are more accurate when done within the first two weeks after the start of a woman's period (during this time, breast tissue is less dense and therefore more easily imaged by an X-ray; chance to miss some early cancerous changes is less possible).
