I have a puzzle for any doctors out there: My wife and i really love to have anal sex as a regular part of our sexual variety. Everything was fine for the first 10 years of our marriage, but now I'm in my 40's and have began getting UTIs every single time we have anal sex. I don't enjoy sex with condoms, so short of abstaining altogether from anal sex, is there anything I can do to prevent the UTIs? I've tried peeing after anal sex, but the UTIs still arrive like clockwork. As a preventative, I've tried cranberry juice, D-Mannose and other herbal remedies with no luck. I've read somewhere online that a single dose of an antibiotic right after sexual contact would work -Do you think that is the answer or do you have any other soultion?
