I went to Africa sometime in April for 25 days. During my trip, I got married to a girl that i was promised a few years ago as tradition demands that the first boy child should be given a wife by his parents. We had unprotected sex and she was on her period but she claims she didn't know till later but couldnt tell me because tradition demands that i sleep with her on the first day of marriage.
When my 25 days were over, i returned to Germany where am station with the military. Nearly 2 weeks after i got back i started having chills and shaking and my fever was high up to 103. I recognize the symptom because, when i was a kid in Africa, i had similar symptoms when ever i had Malaria or high fever. I immediately went to the doctor and told them i may have Malaria. I was given some Tylenol and sent back home. During the day i felt better but the symptoms always return in the evening as i suspected. I went back to see my doctor the next day and i was hospitalized in a German university hospital. I was there for 5 days and the doctors did blood work on me. The first time they didnt know what they were dealing with so they told me it was not Malaria and later they came back and told me it was Malaria. This went on about 4 times, they couldn't give me a definate answer. Finally when they did the 5 blood test, i was told i have Malaria and was treated for it and i felt better.
A week after that, the German doctor for infecteous disease called me and told me i was HIV positive. I went back to my american doctor and they decided to do a second test that i am still waiting for to confirm what the German doctor said.
Now my question is, is it possible that having Malaria and taking my yellow fever shot could make it seem like i am HIV positive?
