Q: M.E - struggling to get air

I have suffered with M.E for 5 years now and if i have been overdoing things then my throat seems to shut and i struggle to get air in. After this has occurred, my forearms go numb and my head feels " foggy ", then the next day my balance is off and i feel shattered. My GP says panic attacks but i don't agree because i wasn't anxious at all before the attack. Can anyone tell me wether this is common in M.E please?

HAVE HAD ANOTHER ATTACK!
Thanks for your interest. I'm not quite sure what they are but i had another attack after a short walk. I ended up bedridden for the rest of the day ( the attack happened at 4pm ), my legs and arms go as if someone is sitting on them and once the initial struggle for air is over, i am left with a pain in the left side of my throat. Very odd and very scary !!
