Hi there
The area you have indicated is called Zygomatic arch and is the attachment point of the masseter, your chewing muscle, part of the Temporomandibular joint. Apart from the masseter there are the temporalis, buccinator and internal and external pterygoid.
TMJ problems are often caused by allergies, as the muscles of the TMJ run on the energy of the stomach meridian.
Anything you put in your stomach that does not belong in there can cause the stomach to go into 'underenergy' and the associated muscles (TMJ) to tighten up.
The most allergenic foods are; Dairy products, potato, eggs, peanuts MSG, food colouring, and chlorine, as in drinking(?)water. See if you can avoid those.
When the masseter overtightens it can tear the little fibers in the belly of the muscle and can cause a problem called lockjaw. People than have Masseter problems tend to talk with the teeth clenched together.
The back neuro lynphatic massage points for the masseter are 1" next to the spine, at T4-5 level, between the shoulder blades. You need a friend to massage these points or a cricket ball between your back and a (solid) wall. The point will be painful.
Good luck
