My husband has had increased hearing loss, constant headaches, and nasal blockage, lymph node swollen all on right side, he has been to Dr.. had a biopsy on lymph done which came back inconclusive,we are waiting for insurance to approve testing, while we wait they put him on a strong antibiotic, and pain meds, nothing is relieving the pain, or pressure he has. I do not know what to do for him to ease his pain, the only time he eats is to take meds which make him sick, He has lost alot of weight, I am very scared and worried,

If it was at all infected, might drain to that node, causing swelling. In a week or two, the node will be small again. Swollen lymph nodes rarely require treatment, since they are just doing their job protecting you. When they are done doing their job, they shrink back down.

The lymph nodes are a major site where foreign substances and infectious agents interact with the cells of the immune system. A major cluster of the lymph nodes is the spleen, which, apart from other functions, also helps fight infections and responds to foreign substances in the body.
