Within the past week I was diagnosed with mono. Last night I found a rather large bump on the back of my upper neck/lower head. I asked my dad what it was and he said it was just a lymph node. I'm not so sure though... it's causing me neck pain and it seems to be getting larger. The "lump" is very tender to the touch. Does anybody have a clue what it could be? Or why it hurts?

I was diagnosed with mono a few weeks ago. I too have a "lump" I guess you could call it, on the back of my neck. Mine isn't sensitive to the touch though. I would just go with the lymph node approach... though if it still worsens I would go see a doctor. Mine didn't seem concerned about it
