My daughter has been bitten by a tick. Lyme disease is confirmed, however there are alot of questions as a result of this... She has neck pain & headache. She is receiving intravenus antibiotics. There is an indication that there is meningitis?? & an addional bacteria in here blood, possibly caused by blood test. Hospital says maybe 21 days of antibiotics, can this cause harm to her stomach??? Please advise any information to guide me thru this situation & information I need from Dr's..

Thank you

P>S> Are these condtions/medications harmful to her spinal cord & head???

You have to give her the antibiotics and I hope the docs told you correctly. Lyme disease is no joke and would be far more dangerous than any stomach issue etc. 21 days is not proven to do the trick either. It is great that you caught it immediately, or she could be sick chronically with it, like me. It's controversial, but I have had first hand experience. Take her to a "Lyme Literate Medical Doctor" if you possibly can. They are few and far between, but it would be worth it, even if you don't believe what they have to say. It's a second opinion, at the least.
