I cannot seem to get a straight answer from my nurologist. I have optic nuritis, both my ana and antidsdna have both came back possitive. They have referred me to a rhumetologist, but of course cannot get in for another month. I had a lumbar puncture 2 weeks ago and am patiently waiting for those results. My doctor for optic neuritis has thrown many immune diseases at me and am very confused. What do these positive results mean. Do I have a disease? I have had a lot of health problems over the years without any answers, I feel like I am back in the same situation again. Could you at least let me know what these test results might mean?

Thank-you!

Since your ana and antidsna are both postive equals Lupus. ON can also present itself in patients who have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).

Like with many auto immune diseases, they are manageable, you just need to listen to your body and empower yourself about what you are facing.

Best Wishes,

Zig
