Hello,
I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis back in 1984. I had a flare up in 1986. Since then I have only been challenged by joint pains. My face, partriculary cheeks become extremely red when i'm out in the sun for 20 minutes or longer.

I have been in remission for more than 20 years. And I have been convinced that my lupus has been sidetracked. My ana test came back positive, I have bad joint pain and for the past 2 months been spilling some blood in my urine. I've been told by doctors that my lupus has no real chance of returning due to the fact that I've been in remission for son long. How likely is it that I am experienceing a flare up?
