Hello,
I am a 30 y o female with SLE since 2002. I am currently taking prednisone 5m ( down from 20 for a year)/ 250 mg Imuran and 200 mg hydroxychloriquine daily. Every now and again my lips swell and I get a sore throat. This is not directly related to food, but I believe stress at times. Is this common in SLE? Also, every time I try to come off of steroids it is the worst. I feel shaky and have panic attacks and heart paplitations. Is there any hope for leaving prednisone in the past?
Thanks

Try Dhea at 200 mg per day for stiffness and pain in joints. Take a liver supplement daily to control loss of hair. Vegetarian Glucosamine will help in rebuilding healthy ligaments and joint tissue. Enzymes and Probiotics help with maintaining a healthy digestive system and unnecessary weight gain or loss. Sharp Thought is a product that keeps the brain healthy and reduces those moments of forgetfulness or being tongue tied or unable to get your thoughts across. Potassium will control muscle contractions, Vitamin K2 will control loss of bone density from the meds, and Choline/Inositol will help keep the nervous system healthy throughout the stressful battles against this terrible illness that robs us of our lives daily.......Prayer works for both the mind, body and spirit and you will rise above it if you don't give in or give up!
