I used to be a heavy smoker 2 to 2 1/2 packs a day. I quit about 16 years ago. Back when I was a smoker there were times I over did it and used to get pains for a short duration in my lungs. Even after I quit and up to the present time I still get that same pain in my lungs. Is there anyhing you can tell me or what should I do? A couple of years ago I went to a pulmonary doctor he didn't find much I was aware of a spot on one of my lungs. For a period of time he had me go for mri's after several of these tests and over a period o time the spot didn't change. What else can I do?

Sincerely,
Richard J. Capobianco

If you find out please let me know. I have had a pain off and on under my left breast that no one can find the reason.

Have they ever tested you for Sarcoidosis? They say you cannot have pain in your lung but around the lung can give you pain such as pleursy. My Doctor finally told me the pain is probably from the Emphysema getting worse. My ribcage is getting very large. Do you have any of those symptoms? I should also mention I have severe emphysema. Good luck and please post whatever you can find out about the pain!
