Q: lumps under armpit and groin area

my 17 yr old son has 2 lumps under his rt armpit. they are tender. he had one in his groin area about 2 wks ago that was also tender but they went away. I am concern. What is going on?

It sounds like benign cysts. However, if they don't go away after a couple of weeks or if they are very painful, he should probably see a doctor just to make sure.

uhm
they sound like normal reactive lymph nodes.
tender is good.
painless lumps are of more concern, especially if they are hard or really fixed.
