Q: Lumps on toes ???

Hi there,
About 3 months ago I noticed the skin around three of my toes was becoming excessively dry. The nails themselves started to turn white and dry out too. Eventhough I've been moisturising everyday and I stopped using anything with perfumes and I've been exfoliating regularly it kept getting dryer and dryer and quite itchy occasionally. Then over the last few weeks I've noticed small little lumps on the toes.
Someone suggested it might be chilblains but it doesn't look like anything I've seen on the net and it's only on one foot. It doesn't swell or look red - it's just dry, itchy, the nails are white and now there are tiny lumps on the driest parts. It's strange because it can be really itchy sometimes it's fine other times.
I haven't a clue what it is as I've never had any problems with my feet before.
Any ideas about what it might be? Please help...
