Lumps on side of neck

Hi everyone , thanks for taking the time to read this.

I went to the doctor 2 months ago with a pea sized painless lump in my neck , he put it down to swollen glands at the time. Since i went to the doctor the lump has grown to the size of a marble and is still painless , this lump is on my right side. Yesterday i found a lump on my left side the size of a marble which is sore to touch.

Went back to my doctor today and he looked concerned , he took blood tests and ive to go back on thursday for results and then a biopsy.
Im quite scared at the moment , i have two beautiful daughters and am a single parent. Im 31 years old.

Any advice ???

Thank you

Most cases of enlarged lymph nodes will turn out to be caused by infection or inflammation. In some cases, however, lymph nodes may enlarge due to involvement with cancer (either cancer arising in the lymph nodes, such as lymphoma, or cancer that has spread to lymph nodes from another site).

Based upon the history that you have provided, a biopsy sounds appropriate. Hopefully, the biopsy will reveal a cause for your enlarged lymph nodes other than cancer.
