Over the past couple weeks, I've noticed several hard, immovable lumps on the bottom back of my head. The don't hurt at all except when messed with a lot. They're all round and a little bigger then peas. I am 16 years old, female, and have no other symptoms. Please help me and tell me what this could possibly be, I'm very worried.

EDIT: Today I woke up to find a lump of about the same size on the back of my neck, but his one isn't as hard, and slightly movable.

Welcome to e health forum.

The causes of your symptoms cannot be exactly diagnosed just by the description provided by you.

It could be due to a condition called impetigo (infection due to staphylococcus) which can cause itching and bumps on the scalp. Skin conditions like Seborrheic dermatitis, Psoriasis, Eczema also can be a possible cause of your symptoms.

If the bumps on your scalp persist for more than one week or get worse, medical evaluation may be needed to determine the need for specific treatment. Hence you should consult with your doctor or a dermatologist for proper advice.

They're not exactly "bumps", they're bigger than peas. They feel almost as if they're attached to my skull. They don't itch, and I have no other conditions or symptoms. Today I found another lump around my leg/groin area, but it's not rock hard like the ones on my head, and it's movable.

any thoughts?
my 5 year old had a hard lump...not circular, on the back on her neck. it popped up last month and has not gone away. it's very hard and does not appear to cause her any pain. i thought it was a bug bite at first, but has not gone away and infact has gotten a bit larger. we have an appointment with her dr this week. she had one week of fever last week too....worries me even more.
