Stomach lumps found when someone is examined with upper gastrointestinal endoscopy for other reasons, complaints, are probably benign growths known as polyps.
There are tree types of these growths and the most frequent ones very rarely develop into cancer.
Stomach polyps, are usually asymptomatic, or they may cause symptoms like abdominal pain, bleeding, nausea, vomiting, a sense of fullness too soon after eating.
Most common causes for polyps are having chronic gastritis (inflammation of stomach lining) or family predisposition for polyps.
