Q: lump under babiy's rib cage

hi i have a 9 month old son and recently i have noticed a rathewr hard round lump pop out of his rib cage ! it doesnt hurt him or bother him but obviously it bothers me. i have to wait a fortnight for a doctors appointment so i thought i would leave a message here to see if anyone knows what this could be so i can settle my mind a little.
i really would appreciate some replies
