There is a lump on the crease of my leg that really hurts whenever something touches it. It is about the size of a quarter to 50 cent piece. It is under the skin above the muscle on my leg. About two years ago I went to the hospital, for a lump in the same place and they said it was an infected hair. That time it did not hurt, this time it is painful. Any ideas on what it could be? I am really worried. I am a mother of 5 with no insurance, so running to the doctor is not financially easy. I have had a papsmear that came back with precancerous cells so it does concern me. Any suggestions would be helpful.

It could be a lymph node,im sixteen and have the same thing.I just noticed it today..but i remember it hurting right there when i was walking a few days ago.of course,i dont know, but check on inguinal lymph nodes, and you should see a doc,im going to tell my mom because i read a post from a doctor saying any lump thats painful is serious.Hope you get it figured out and dealt with.
