Q: Lump on side of forehead

i am 16 i have a lump on the side of my forehead and it is sore when i sleep on it it is in the inside it is got bigger what could it be i was in a serious car accident 12 years ago and was left wit scars on my forehead but this lumpo wasent there i am thinkin about going to the doctors about it but would like to adsk you first please help x

Most of the time, tender scalp lumps tend to be benign masses, especially in teenagers and young adults. These benign scalp masses include sebaceous cysts and lipomas (benign fatty tumors). However, it is impossible to make a specific diagnosis over the Internet, and so you should have your family doctor take a look at this lump. Hopefully, it will turn out to be a benign lesion.
