I have this little lump on my right hip under the skin. At first i thought it was a pimple, so i tried to pop it. The lump is very stiff and seems to be filled with a bluish color. It is very painful to the touch. What could it be?

Hello, and thanks for your medical question on eHealthForum.

The description of the swelling provided indicates the possibility of the lump being a lymph node.

Presence of a node that is painful on pressure is associated with inflammation. Treatment with antibiotics will treat the infection and resolve the lymph node enlargement.

A painless, large lymph node that lasts more than 4 weeks inspite of antibiotic treatment could be due to a chronic infection, a systemic disorder, etc.

Presence of long standing, large sized, painless, multiple lymph nodes all over the body could be a sign of cancer.

Evaluation of your condition would include imaging studies (MRI), Blood tests and if needed a excision biopsy.

You might seek consultation of your treating doctor for additional information and further treatment

I hope this helps.
