I have a lump on the opening of my rectum. I don't know how long i've had it - at least a year! Usually it isn't painful but should i get it checked out anyway?

Thanks

You may have a perianal haematoma...It is like a blood blister that will stretch out with the friction of a bowel movement...Very often they will go away...However, if it bothers you then have it checked out...

Take care,
Caroline
