Q: lump on neck

I have a lump on my neck 2 inches below my right ear under my skin.It do not hurt but went i turn my neck to the left side you can see the lump.I had this for 2years on my neck i like to pop my neck a lot what kind medical doctor can i see closer to the town.I live in newnan,ga.

I would start out with your family doctor or you could skip that and schedule an appt with a general surgeon.

If you have health insurance you would need to check to see if you would need a referral to a general surgeon.

My mom haas a lump on her neck and she went to the doctor they said it was a thyroid i ahve no clue what that is but give it a look into

Thyroid is shaped like a bowtie and is located in the front of your neck.

Next time you see your doctor...notice when h/she listens to your lungs and at some point will feel the front of your neck...h/she is feeling for abnormalities.

i think you should really check that out with your doctor.
my friend had a lump on her neck and she ended up having cancer.
