Lump on My Neck seemed to reappear

I recently felt a fixed lump on my neck and decided to go to my doctor. It never got any bigger and didnt really change at all however I decided to have a biopsy done. The only problem is that after he had stitched me up and removed whatever it was, the lump seemed to reappear in about 2 days. Does anyone know what could possibly attribute to this?
