Lump on lymph node

i had the same problem and my dad took me to the hospital. the doctor said it could be an infection, a cist, and possibly cancer. he put me on augmentin for two weeks and if its not gone in two weeks for the next app, i have to do a biopsy. so, your best bet is to go see a doc.

i have what feels like a small pea sized lump on my lymph node itself. it was never like this before but about a month ago i felt it. i thought it was just my lymph node fighting something off, but i never got a cold or anything. the lump is on the bottom portion of my lymph node. i am planning on seeing a doctor but i was just curious if anyone has heard of this kind of thing or any outcomes etc...
