Today I discovered a cherry sized lump on the inside of my vagina. It's a few inches in, and on the lower left side of my wall. It isn't painful at all. When I press on it, it seems fairly soft on the surface but has a hard core. Could this be a gland, a cyst? I'm not sure. I'm very, very, very worried. This is the first major health issue that has come up for me. I am 19 and just recently became sexually active. (We have both always been clean and used condoms) I will be making an appt with my doctor shortly, but I'd like advice here as well. I find it strange that it isn't painful at all - if it was an infection or bruise wouldn't it hurt when pressed upon?

glac.
Don't panic what you have is called a barthelin cyst. that means that on eof the glands is blocked up. most of the time a doc. will tell you to come in if it starts to bother you and then they will lance it open and drain it. Other than that it is just there.
But as with anything have your Doc. take a look just to be safe and sure!1
