Extremely eHealthy
Painful lump located at the top of the "natal cleft", slightly to the left side, is suggestive for pilonidal cyst that got infected and developed into pilonidal abscess.
In some patients, the lump can be positioned lower in the cleft or on both sides.
Pilonidal cysts occur more frequently in men than in women and usually occur between the ages of 15 to 24.
The first symptom of an infected pilonidal cyst is tenderness when sitting and walking.
The pain change in intensity based on the position of the body.
Swelling, warmth, redness are other signs of infected cyst.
Increasing pain warrants medical attention.

Best wishes!
Marija
