Well I have been having trouble hearing for a while. I struggle to hear what people are saying to me at work and also I listen to the TV on about double the volume my boyfriend does. I was referred to a specialist and it was confirmed that I have conductive hearing loss. I now need to see another specialist and I am waiting for an appointment. Today I took a look at my ear in the mirror and noticed that I have a lump, about the size of a 5p piece, round, flat (not bumpy or anything) and solid on the outer ear. I have had a look at an ear diagram but it doesn't really describe the outer ear very well. All I can say is that if you put your finger on the bit called the Pinna and move your finger inwards, it is kind of on the wall bit of the ear. Do you think the loss of hearing and the lump could be relaed? Should I be worried about the lump? I assume that the lump wasn't there just over a week ago when they tested my hearing, although the lady may not have noticed as she just really put the headphones on me and didn't really examine my ears.

Thank you in advance!
