Q: Lump near right hip bone

today i have found a lump about 1 cm in diameter about 4cm away from my right hip bone and approx. two cm lower than my navel - could this be a malignant lump or a fatty lump? Are these lumps common?

The most likely possibilities include a lipoma (a benign fatty tumor beneath the skin), a cyst in the skin, or a hernia. However, it is impossible to offer a specific diagnosis over the internet, and on patients who I have not examined.

Best to have your personal physician take a look at this lump.
