I'm a first time mom and my baby boy will be 2 months on Saturday!! YAY!!

But...

For a few weeks now he always scratches at his right eye and sticks his fingers in it. I haven't really thought to much about it, because I check it and theres nothing in it. And he never actually scratches it. And this last week he has been fussy he gets hungry but he crys and wont latch on some times. And before you say hes getting colicky, its not that. Ok so since I have all that out of the way I get to the part thats really freaking me out. So today hes real fussy and only wants to be held and patted on the back well I was walking around the back yard holding him and rubbing his head making him feel better and I feel this little lump a little smaller then a marble... Its kinda squishy and moves a little... It feels like it could be a fatty tumor, or systs... I have never noticed it before until now. He has a Doctors appointment the 6th for his 2 month shots and I'm going to ask them about it. A little while ago he took a 15 min nap then woke up screaming I thought he was hungry to I tried to nurse him but he wouldnt latch on he just screamed and cryed so I tryed to rock him some but it didn't work I took his temp because he felt a little warm. But it said 98.5 after a while of me holding him and patting his back he calmed down enough to eat and after he ate I gave him 0.4mL of Concentrated Tylenol Infants' drops. It seemed to make him feel a little better. I held him for a bit then put him in his swing. Hes taking a nap right now. But this is really bothering me can you give me any insight on this and what it could be... Should I be really worried or just a little worried? I am going to see if his doctor can get him in tomorrow.

Nope! Don't be worried at all. I had the same worries with my kids, and those little bumps at the back of the head are normal if it's what I think you are describing...lymph nodes is what I think they are?

You can still tell your doctor about it at his checkup to find out exactly what it is called and why you can feel it on a newborn and not on yourself.

The other things that are happening with him right now like the crying and feeling warm: that's all normal baby stuff too. Congrats Smile Looks like you have a healthy baby!
