asked by: DoctorQuestion on October 25th, 2009
From last 6 month to 7 months I find a lump inside my scrotum. It remains for sometime & some times it goes up in stomach. When it is present, my scrotum looks bigger? why it is like so?

Hello and welcome to eHealth Forum!

A lump that you can feel inside your scrotum that at times moves up can be a hydrocele, a retractile testis, an inguinal hernia that at times descends into the scrotum or a cyst. It could also be varicocele (swollen bunch of vein inside the scrotum), which feel like a bag or worms.

It is difficult to give a confirmed diagnosis on net without examining the lump. Please consult your PCP or urologist. Hope this helps. Take care!
