Q: lump in throat and headaches

Yesterday I passed out on the couch as a result of jet lag (I had just came from a trip to california, and I live in New york). I woke up about three hour later with a strange feeling in my throat; about golf ball sized, between my windpipe and throat, as well as having a burning sensation at the back of my mouth near the tonsils. At first I though it was just a cricopharyngeal spasm, and that it would subside eventually. However, when I woke the next day, the lump felt worse, so I got up and prepared to go to the doctor, but the lump started to go away when I was standing; once I laid down, it came back. In addition to this, I've been getting frequent chest pains and shooting headaches.

Since all the doctors in my area are closed till tuesday, my only option is to wait or go to the ER, but considering how packed the local hospital gets, I'd rather wait if its nothing serious. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong with my throat?

Welcome to e-health
Not sure what it could be other than maybe a dry throat. If you are concerned please see your Dr. Hope you are better now. Good luck.
