Q: lump in neck size of a dime

I recently noticed a lump in my neck about the size of a 10cent coin, located on the right side where my lymph node is under the jaw line. I have symptoms of a common cold (sneezing, sore throat, runny nose) however 12 years ago i had a cyst twice removed from my lymph node in the arm pit about the size a kiwi fruit. I am concerned its cancer, however i doesn't run in my family. The lump is soft underneath the skin and easily moved. No pain either when i touch it. Should I be concerned?

The lump is probably related to your cold. If it doesn't go away after your cold goes away, or if your symptoms don't start to get better in a couple of days (especially the sore throat), you should see a doctor. Otherwise, don't worry just yet. Just get some rest and take care of yourself.
