i have a painless lump in my right upper breast,at first i thought it was due to exercise but i stopped and it did not go,what could it be?

A new breast lump requires further evaluation to rule-out breast cancer in all adult women. If this lump has been present for more than 6 to 8 weeks, then it should be evaluated by your doctor. (Fortunately, the vast majority of breast lumps turn out to be benign.)
