Q: Lump in eyelid
asked by: DoctorQuestion on February 24th, 2009
Hello,

I am 19 years old from England, I've got lump in my eyelid few months now, at first it didn't bother me but now I'm getting worried its getting bigger. You can see the difference one eyelid is bigger than the other and a bit sore. I don't know if its only an infection. Should I see a doctor immediately? Is it something I need to worry about? Please help me... thank you.

The lesion that you describe is most likely due to inflammation, and is much less likely to be a cancer. However, as you know, it is not possible for any physician to make a specific diagnosis without directly examining a patient. Therefore, if this lesion does not resolve within a few weeks, then you should consult your personal physician.

Sincerely,
