I have had this lump for a month now and it worries me cause my grandma on my dad's side had breast cancer. I am really nervous about going to a doctor and getting it checked and it turning out to be cancer! Should I be really concerned or am I just being paranoid?

All new breast lumps should be appropriately evaluated by a physician. Most of the time, such lumps will turn out to benign. However, if your lump is a cancer, and you allow it to progress, then you could miss out on a chance for cure by delaying diagnosis and treatment.

Please see your doctor about this.

Hi Sweetie, Please ake an appointment and have you priary care pyysican chceck this out for you. I totally understand EVERY feelings you are experiencing, No all lumps are cancer....sometimes lymoh nodes just do that Its always better ot be safe than sorry. By oging and having htis looked into, if by some chance it is osmething bad (cancer) then you ahve a better chance of recovery and survival. If however you do nothing....and constnatly worry, if it is something bad...it WILL get wrose. I do think you are gonna be just fine. Just a case of the jitters and nervouse about going and dreading what to hear...Always here if you ever need to PM...One year breast cancer survivor! Best of luck to you!

Fairy Godmother is right. It is probably nothing. Sometimes after a minor cold your lymph nodes get hard behind the ear, your neck, and even under your arm but you don't want to take a chance. To me, it would be scarier if I waited then taking care of it in the beginning. That's where many people with cancer (not that this is what you have) make a mistake.

hi, my friend had the exact same thing about 2 weeks ago and she went to the doctor and it was just an infected sweat gland, nothing to worry about at all, but do go get checked because you will need tablets to get rid of it
