Hello,

Not too long ago I noticed a small lump in between my right leg and my testicle - close to my anus. At first, I thought very little of it. But now it seems it has grown larger, and is now starting to become slightly painful when touched.

The first thing that came to mind was that I might have cancer.

Hello, and thanks for your medical question on E Health Forum.

The painful small lump described by you appears to be a inflamed lymph node, associated with a skin infection in the perineum.

Presence of a node that is painful on pressure is associated with inflammation. Treatment with antibiotics will treat the infection and resolve the lymph node enlargement within 2 weeks duration.

Your symptoms are in no way related to cancer.

You might seek consultation of your treating doctor for additional information.

I hope this helps.
