It is impossible to provide a specific diagnosis over the Internet. However, if he has one or more persistently firm and enlarged lymph nodes (and, especially, if any lymph nodes are continuing to enlarge, or new enlarged lymph nodes are occurring), then he may require a biopsy in order to rule-out lymphoma.
