Q: lump at back of head

i noticed alump at back of my head beneath the occipital bone it is roughly size of a 5 pence i havent banged my head but what did happen i turned my head the other day and it cracked i was wondering if it could have caused this lump?the lump is on inside not the outside.a few people said it could be a gland but i didnt think we had glands in our head.

It actually could be a lymph node or a sebaceous cyst. Has it been changing at all? Is it hard or soft? If it causes any pain, it could be an infection. If it is staying the same, I wouldn't be worried, but it would need to be looked at to determine for sure what is causing it.
