Ive had a lump above my collar bone for about 5 days now. I woke up and felt a weird sensation in my neck an found this "non-painless" lump. It does not move, but it appears to be resting on my muscle. Ive read a lot on many sites, however the responses on this topic have gone beyond my trepidation to find an an answer, whether it be good or bad. I recently lost my 9 year job I aspired to grow with, but It's done there now. My reason for that sentence was to say I no longer carry health insurance and if I check with a doctor I will need to pay in full. If I can avoid the visit, I shall.

So...now that I am not TOO scared I must tell you the exact symptoms and/or timeframe:

-sleep is no good without sleeping pills lately. I only take 1 1/2, but..
-I thought it would help. Its worse each night trying to fall into that abyss of my dreams.
-I have an uncomfortable pain at least 2-3 times daily. Like knives have began to pierce my skin from the inside, it may be the...
-Fever in which I can not explain, it's just there now.
-I have, like I said, an earache and now my lower back has began to ache.


How or if what, do or can I do to handle this?
