So I went to my doctors appointment to get the results of my pap smear, and they said it was abnormal. It came back for LSIL (low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion). It is a precancerous condition of the cervix. 2-3% of all Pap tests result in a diagnosis of LSIL. There is 5 classes of it.

Class I- Normal

Class II- Mild dysplasia

Class III- Moderate dysplasia

Class IV- Severe dyslasia

Class V- Cancer of the cervx.

Luckily, I'm only in class II. My doctor said it could of been that I had had a yeast infection, and it might of triggered the test. They gave me a prescription for a vaginal cream called clindesse. Has this happened to anyone else?

Edit* I got to hear the baby's heartbeat, and see it move around. My doctor said "It looks like it's trying to ride a bike"

HPV- human papoloma virus [spelling??] its the number 1 cause of cervical cancer.. that is why they have a vaccination for it now [[hey speaking of that i need my 2nd shot of that]] my sister has it... it can cause a few complications ... but it is a sexually transmited disease that sometimes is completely invisible as in my sisters case. she had no clue she had it untill she got tested... the worst part is she got it because , well she was with her husband since they were 15 ... but when they were 22 they got engaged... well since they have ONLY dated eachother they had some rough times and decided they needed to date other people, so they broke off the engagement... he slept with a few girls and got hpv, then gave it to my sister when they got back together... she was quite p!ssed

LSIL
First thing, get married first before you get pregnant. I don't understand why women do this. And second I was diagnosed with LSIL had it on pap smear 2011 and exactly a year later 2012. Found out during my pregnancy so get a new Dr. More women have HPV then don't. Teach our young women to keep their legs closed, sex can wait. Sex should be saved for tge man you MARRY!! If you can't wait wrap it up! I would not suggest the Vacination for young women that haven't even fully developed. I'm sure in 10 years attorneys will be advertising a huge law suite to this company for causing infertility in our youth. I'm sorry if I'm harsh but wise up people, and take control of your selves and our you g women. Quit letting these sick sexual beast called men invade our cervix drop their disease and leave us women to suffer!!!!

Low grade cell changes on your cervix will not make you infertile. In fact, your miscarriage was not due to LSIL. Early miscarriages are most often because of chromosomal abnormalities at a microscopic cellular level. There would have been nothing you could have done to prevent that. I'm sorry.

You do not still have LSIL because it was burned off your cervix. This shouldn't have anything to do with your pregnancy or your ability to get pregnant.

Good luck!

Gardasil protects you from cervical cancer (I'm pretty sure). My doctor advised me to get it BECAUSE I have HPV.

GARDASIL DO YOUR RESEARCH
Gardasil is BAD NEWS please don't get it, it has been reported to VAERS to have caused miscarriages, and multiple horrible side effects. Please research, it DOES NOT PROTECT you from cervical cancer, it only may help with 4 forms of HPV. It is not the only way you can get cervical cancer, which is treatable. PLEASE PLEASE Do your research independent of what MERCK is spewing. It has also had several deaths linked to it. Please do your research, read the blogs of the mothers caring for these sick girls. Don't just rely on what the paid entities are saying. It is scary.

LSIL
I have a LSIL and Mild Dysplasia (Type II) Which isnt terrible. There are 4 types. Also i have HPV (Which yes is a sexually transmitted disease but what they dont tell you is that if you have only been with one partner as i have you can still get it just being sexually active can trigger it.) And no, it doesn't affect having kids

Can you have LSIL (Type II) and NOT have HPV? I had an abnormal pap smear but I also had a yeast infection during the same time. I'm scared I don't want HPV.

I'm 13 weeks pregnant, and I just got a call that I have an LSIL. The doctor told me LSILs are always caused by HPV, even though I've always been negative before. I have to have a colposcopy in 2 weeks to grade it, they can't do anything else until I deliver.
Has anyone else had it during pregnancy? Some sites say I'd have to terminate the pregnancy and have a full hysterectomy. I'm really scared. Any input would be much appreciated!

Hello...
Hey girl. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and just got the results back. I also have LSIL. Prior times i've been normal. I can only assume that it's due to pregnancy. I am rescheduled for 2nd pap in 4 wks. If it comes back the same - i will have to do colposcopy. You're right, they can't do anything about it until after birth. But then it can change just like that. My sis.-in-law had that happen to her. Do not go on other sites just because you're scared... you will feel even worse after reading on it...Just don't do it! I know this is like 2 years after....So what happened in the end...because i am going thru it now myself??? Sincerely... OA

LSIL
I just had a pap smear that said I have LSID, my dr. suggested I get the vaccine, but I don't get it, they say id you have LSID then you must have HPV, even though I am married and never slept with anyone except my ex husband. Could my ex have transmitted the disease to me? I have had several vaginal swaps but nothing like that ever came up, or does the LSIL only show up on pap smears? Also I have pain I am not sure if it is my cervix, bladder of vagina, I feel an aching sore feeling as soon as I wake up what is it? Is it assosiated with LSIL? I am so down, I can't nelieve that I have this, I am so worried. Please help,,,

LSID/HPV/Pregnancy/Testing
I was pregnant I was told I had LSID and had a healthy pregnancy and birth. My son is perfect. Since delivery I've been seeing my Dr every 3-6 months having copeoscopies, biopsies, the Gardsil vaccine, ECC and Pap's. My son is now 15 months old and very active. I'm still learning about the LSID every time I see my Dr. It's very stressful to be diagnosed with this and every Dr and patient still learning about HPV. HPV is actually something EVERY woman has and it lies dormant. The one's who actually get diagnosed with HPV, our immune system wasn't able to fight it off. HPV is a virus like chicken pox. Gardisil does have risks just like birth control does, as well as tylenol and every other drug out there. I take Gardisil and I have HPV but atleast I'm giving myself hope. I'm sorry for the girls/woman who've had problems/death from Gardisil but if you research all the medications/vaccines we all take there's risks in everything. We even take risks to walk outside everyday to the pollutants in the air. Whose to say we won't get a lung infection from breathing the air outside our house?! Of course, do your research before taking any medication, birth control, vaccine, etc. Also, consult with your Dr before taking anything and be sure you know your and your families medical background. Share it with your Dr so they can seek the best care for you.

IM in the same boat... I HAD AN ABNORMAL PAP
Just recently I went to the doctor because i was having discharge of milky lumpy a little and i was wondering what it was. They gave me a pap smear and my doctor told me that i had an yeast infection. He took my samples to the lab and a week later he called for a follow up. When i went in they told me i had LSIL and signs of HPV. I don''t know if that was due to my yeast infection but i had yeast since i was little but it cleared and it came again since i started taking theses medications. I am confused and scared.
