Last spring while working out I think I pulled an ab muscle while doing crunches, it was a little uncomfortable but it want away quickly.

Now about 2-3 weeks ago I feel a tightness in the same spot as well as in my abs below my belly button. Not much pain but I can feel it when I sit down or do some bike riding. I have stopped working out and don't ride much at all anymore.

I don't think it is a hernia or appendicitis as there are no bumps or tender areas when feeling my stomach, abdomen or groin areas. Other wise I am healthy man and have been taking advil 200mg once or twice a day which seems to help.

Should I be concerned it's something serious or does this seem like a muscle pull/strain? And how long should this take to heal if it is?

BTW, my BP is good and temp is right about 98.1
