I have been looking this up for weeks and
have not found anyone else with the same
symptoms as me. I don't even know what
doctor to go see. Every time I go to the
gynecologist with something, she thinks
i'm crazy. But then again I only go to a
planned parenthood clinic, I do not have
insurance to cover a good gynecologist. I
have not gone for this particular problem
but here are my symptoms.
I have been constipated for over a month.
When I do have a bowel movement it is
usually very small and hard, or I get
diarrhea. But never enough to feel like a
real full bowel movement.
I don't know if these go together, or if
they are two different problems, but what
is bothering me the most is. I am having
muscle spasms or contractions like in my
lower pelvic. It is like im squeezing in
down there, it is in my rectum and vagina.
It is involuntary. It doesn't really hurt,
but is very annoying. And is causing some
cramping because im constantly squeezing
the muscles down there. I dunno if they
are like spasms or contractions. This is
ALL the time, Every 5 seconds or so I get
one.
These muscles squeezing like this makes me
feel like I have to use the bathroom all
the time, and is very uncomfortable. It
seems to be better when I am standing up.
I have tried stop drinking caffiene, that
did not help. I ate banannas, drank lots
of water, gatorade, putting a heating pad
on my rectum and vagina while laying down.
Nothing has stopped this. It is going on 2
weeks or more.
I am not pregnant because I had my period
last week. And I thought that was maybe
causeing my spasms/contractions, and
figured it would go away after I had my
period, and it has not.
Please Help!

You NEED to see a doctor - a general
practitioner or an internist. What you
describe sounds an awful lot like a bowel
obstruction. This can not be left
untreated. The bowel can rupture and lead
to life threatening infection. I can not
diagnose you so go to a doctor. This
should be done sooner than later.

Thank you so much for your reply. I didn't
mention that I have gallbladder surgery
tomorrow. I just didn't think it had
anything to do with the matter, but maybe
it does. I have an appointment in an hour
with my general practitioner.
