I have been looking this up for weeks and have not found anyone else with the same symptoms as me. I don't even know what doctor to go see. Every time I go to the gynecologist with something, she thinks i'm crazy. But then again I only go to a planned parenthood clinic, I do not have insurance to cover a good gynecologist. I have not gone for this particular problem but here are my symptoms.
I have been constipated for over a month. When I do have a bowel movement it is usually very small and hard, or I get diarrhea. But never enough to feel like a real full bowel movement.
I don't know if these go together, or if they are two different problems, but what is bothering me the most is. I am having muscle spasms or contractions like in my lower pelvic. It is like im squeezing in down there, it is in my rectum and vagina. It is involuntary. It doesn't really hurt, but is very annoying. And is causing some cramping because im constantly squeezing the muscles down there. I dunno if they are like spasms or contractions. This is ALL the time, Every 5 seconds or so I get one.
These muscles squeezing like this makes me feel like I have to use the bathroom all the time, and is very uncomfortable. It seems to be better when I am standing up.
I have tried stop drinking caffiene, that did not help. I ate banannas, drank lots of water, gatorade, putting a heating pad on my rectum and vagina while laying down. Nothing has stopped this. It is going on 2 weeks or more.
I am not pregnant because I had my period last week. And I thought that was maybe causeing my spasms/contractions, and figured it would go away after I had my period, and it has not.
You NEED to see a doctor - a general practitioner or an internist. What you describe sounds an awful lot like a bowel obstruction. This can not be left untreated. The bowel can rupture and lead to life threatening infection. I can not diagnose you so go to a doctor. This should be done sooner than later.
Thank you so much for your reply. I didn't mention that I have gallbladder surgery tomorrow. I just didn't think it had anything to do with the matter, but maybe it does. I have an appointment in an hour with my general practitioner.
i have contactions in my pelvic area it hurts but not realy bad more than anything it is bothersome to me because i am not sure what it is.. i am notg preagnatthis has been going for about 2 weeks now can any one help
Wanted to post this because I just freaked out, and ran to the store to get a pregnancy test.... I was searching online for other women with a "twitching" or "spasming" uterus and the only explanation I found was that I was pregnant!
Now, I have unprotected sex with my long time boyfriend, however I consistently take my birth control and had my period two weeks ago. But for the last week or so my uterus has been spasming, or twitching like your eye twitches when you're stressed.
It doesn't hurt, just completely annoying and will even wake me up at night. It did it for hours last Friday afternoon/evening and does it off and on throughout the day.
I just took a pregnancy test and it's negative! My gyno said call them back if it begins to be painful. The gyno told me to first take a pregnancy test when I called yesterday, but other than that they said I was probably just ovulating... just weird since this twitching is new.
(On a side note, I did just start taking a new bc pill about three months ago. Maybe I need to try a new one.)
What if it feels like a dull pain all the way accross my lower abdomen and then once or twice every minute, it contracts like someone is squeezing something in there for about 20-30 secs then releases for a short while then contracts again. I have been sitting with a very hot heating pad for about 2hrs now and have not been able to sleep. Also when I use the bathroom, it really hurts to push if I go #1 or #2 so it takes me about 30mins at a time in the bathroom and usually I don't even go. I wanna hit my knees when it contracts or when I'm pushing in the bathroom. For as long as I can remember, I've never had a regular bowel movement schedule, I'm luck if I get 1 a week. I've dealt with constipation quite a bit b4 since I stayed constipated with all 3 pregnancies so I know how that feels, I know I'm not pregnant cuz I just had a period 2weeks ago plus my tubes are tied. And I'm not a sissy about pain...I had all 3 kids totally natural with absolutely no pain meds...any ideas? Please?
i'm not pregnant im 15 years old, and i'm having clit spasms every 3 seconds it's so retarded... Because i'm just sitting and watching tv and then it starts up, what the heck is this??? I never had sex and i don't plan to until im at a mature age like 26. If someone knows why this is happening, Reply please!
I am having the same symptoms as the young lady above. I am not pregnant. I am having horrible horrible pains In my pelvic, vagina and rectum area! It feels like contractions, and they come every so often. I've taken MiraLax and it helps a lot to relieve the pain... But I can not keep taking this stuff as regular medicine. Please Help!!!
i am 24year unmarried girl having lower vaginal muscles contactions on and off from last 7-8 months which are not at all painful but really very annoying mostly while m laying down on bed for sleeping.plz do tel me the way to get rid of it.
I am 20 years old and I went to the doctors three times because I am having bad pains in my stomach but I'm not pregnant and they kept saying they didn't see anything and they told me it was muscle spasms in my uterus but it feels like I'm being stbbed in my lower stomach and I don't know what else to do for the pain I need help.
I am 45 and I feel exactly the same thing like you all. It started aprox.6 years ago. At first I had these contractions once in a few months, then more often. The contractions are like someone is squeezing something in the lower abdomen for about 20-30 secs then releases. 2 years ago the spasms were so horrible, at 2,3 seconds for an entire day and night. The doctors here in Romania gave me antibiotics, but I realize now after 6 years that it has nothing to do with the antibiotics. I have these contractions 5 or 10 days before my period and then during the ovulation. I've seen during these years, 5 or 6 gynecologists and they have no idea about this pain. I know that I have cysts on both of my ovaries.
