asked by: DoctorQuestion on August 5th, 2009
Alright im very young I think to be having problems like this so, about a week or so ago I started getting a lower back spasm follwed by a twinge and a slight tickle im not sure how to explain it. From what I have read online i feel that it may be a less serious for of siatica i have felt minor aches in my leg from time to time. When I sit a certain way or bend it hurts. A week before the pain started i had been doing early morning excercises and the pain came. At first I though it was a pulled muscle but im having my douts please help me.

Sciatica is the term that can be used when a nerve in the lower back has pressure on it, causing pain or tingling or both down the leg into the foot. It is rare in patients your age, more commonly occurring in those from their 20s-50s. Otherwise, muscle spasm and joint dysfunction are two common causes of low back pain. You should consider seeking treatment from a reputable chiropractor, physical therapist or orthopedist.
