My lower back has been a problem for me for over five years. Somedays are worse than others. I've had x-rays taken and was told that I had a curviture at the bottom of my verterbrae.

During the day my back does not hurt. If I sit too long, my lower back starts to hurt. I play in an orchestra and always sit straight up on the edge of the chair. After an hour it starts to hurt. When I sleep at night my back is horrible when I wake up. If I lay on my stomach, I am in agony. If I wedge something under my hips it seems to help a little bit. If I lay on my side, that hurts as well. It seems when I arch my back I am in trouble.

Any advice, exercies, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Hearingchic,

Neat "handle".

Those high heels are concerning. As an interim change, may I suggest that you stop using those high heels for several weeks.

My advice is that you see a neurosurgeon/spinal surgeon and get their medical "analysis" of what is wrong. Seek out the best spinal doctor that you can find in your area. Make that important appointment.

Hope all gets better.
