Hi,

About 10 yrs ago overstretched whilst lifting and hurt central lower back. At time unable to stand up straight and took around 5 mins to be able to stand straight enough to walk after sleeping. Given anti-inflammatories at time by GP and was told Physio would contact me. Never heard from physio and back pain would come and go. Now back is sore more often and having sciatica down back of left thigh. Have a 6 mth old baby which doesn't help and at a recent visit to GP, he advised me to sleep on my front (which another site has advised against). What would you advise?

Thanks,
TeeGee

hi....you may have disk problem but you really need to get tested to see what problem is. dont sit on this. the longer you wait the more permanent damage could be caused.
try to get dr to refer you to neuro or ortho surgeon who specializes on spine. no lifting and no sitting for long periods of time. .....get mri as soon as possible....pete
