ok, i have no insurance and was wondering what i should do. i have an ongoing pain in my lower back off to the right side and sometimes my left side hurts too. my mom who donated a kidney to my aunt said thats right where my kidneys are. at first she thought it might be because i dont drink enough water but thats almost all i drink. i have also been peeing more frequently, sometimes as often as every 30 minutes. sometimes more like every hour to hour and a half. it hurts worse with movement and is tender to the touch. i can't bend over because the amount of pain is over whelming. i have a hard time sleeping because i just can't get comfortable enough to sleep with the pain. ib profen and tylenol dont help. on occasion it seems like the pain gets so bad that it makes parts of the rest of my back hurt. on a scale of 1-10 id say the pain is about an 8 usually. it's been going on for about 2 weeks now with a low fever on and off.

You need to see a doctor immediately, and I mean immediately.

It sounds like you have both a bladder infection and a kidney infection.

All of your symptoms are classic for a urinary tract infection and the back pain is from a kidney infection.

You need treatment with antibiotics, a urinalysis and a culture and sensitivity done on your urine to be sure that the correct antibiotic is prescribed.

Without treatment you can develop kidney damage that can be permanent.

If you have no insurance, I would suggest you go to a hospital emergency room, or a clinic that will see patients without insurance.

Please see a doctor right away.
