Are lower back pains normal during early pregnancy? This is my second child but I cannot remember experiencing backache with my first child until my final trimester. Please get back to me as I am scared of miscarrage and finding it soo hard to enjoy my pregnancy due to this, from my last period I've worked out I'm approx 5 weeks gone also I took a digital test which showed I was 2-3but the box stated that drs would work that out as 4-5 weeks, if I take a test next week and it says 3+ does this mean my baby is well as the hormone level would have risen or am I reading to far into things? Please help so confused and emotional Sad

Active User, very eHealthy
I am 7 weeks and have been having lower back aches since before I got a positive result. Some days I have no pains, other days, like last night, I am SUPER achy. It's totally normal.

Early pregnancy back pain
I am experiencing very painful lower back problems. This is my second child also. I did see on another website that this can be common in early pregnancy with the second child due to stomach muscles being weaker. Basically your stomach muscles support your lower back alot, but during your first pregnancy they are significantly weakened and hence when second child comes lower back pain is common. Iv been doing various muscle toning exercises for my stomach and hips since my first chld and Iv still experienced a weaker lower back. Best to see a doctor is it gets worse. Hope this helps!
