Hi,

My brother is in hospital suddenly for high fever, chills, abdominal pain
for 6 days and every time he eats something it is coming out. He is like this for 7 days and went to doctor and found out that he has low white cell count
that is under 20,000. He was on IV and did blood tests which are still due.
Meanwhile they think it is dengue fever. As the white cell count fell down to
below 10,000 they started giving blood so far 4 times 350 ml each. It is
still not helping him any way. What is this disease?. What's going on with him?. He is 40 and pretty healthy no diabetes or blood pressure. He had
small accident 4 months ago and had to take lots of ibuprofen. Could someone help me with. I really appreciate. He is in India in hospital with mom
alone and i am not able to do anything from USA.Thank you very much for everyone who helps me.

Low white cell count (leukopenia) causes an increased risk of infection.Indications for a WBC count include infectious and inflammatory diseases; leukemia and lymphoma; and bone marrow disorders.

Has your brother been given a diagnosis yet?
